Hey, Sports fans!

Six Games in and 6 Games to go
for much of college football’s great 128 chase for 4 tickets to the initial BCS Championship Tournament and already we’re down to just 6 squads with flawless records!

From the classic squabble over which undefeated teams get left out of the Championship Pair, it sure looks like the tussle this year will be over which 1-loss teams miss the Final Four!

Some damn fine 5-1 crews still on the board and have a superb shot but let’s take a look at the final group at 6-0…

Florida State (#2 AP): Much comes down to the ticking clock against the dispensation of alleged misdeeds by Jameis Winston, some dating back to 2012. That issue, less than dominant wins over NC State and Syracuse, plus a tough remaining schedule beginning with the 6-0 Irish Saturday night leave us voting against running the table.

Notre Dame (#5 AP): Showed resilience in tough wins over Stanford and North Carolina the last 2 weeks and enough offense (444.3 yards per game) to play with the big boys but the schedule works against them. November holds Louisville, at Arizona State, and at USC while the Irish opened as 11 1/2 point dogs at Florida State for Saturday night.

Baylor (#4 AP): Dodged the major bullet last week, roaring back from 21 down to TCU in the 4th quarter last trip! That escape included, dominant across the board with 622.5 yards of offense vs 303.5 yards allowed per game. Still to come: at West Virginia this week then at Oklahoma plus vs Oklahoma State next month. The Bears have a great chance to finish 12-0.

Mississippi (#3 AP): Off fine wins over Bama and A&M, the Rebels are flying high. 295.2 pass yards per game at 9.4 yards per attempt by Bo Wallace is damn impressive against SEC defenses but 3.8 yards per rush (leading rusher Walton has 287 yards) sets off the 1-dimentional alarm. LSU and Auburn in the way before season-ending Egg Bowl showdown with the Bulldogs.

Mississippi State (#1 AP): Three consecutive top-10 wins has claimed the first #1 ranking in program history! 41.8 points per game for the Bulldogs against 20.0 allowed including a combined 120-83 edge over LSU, A&M, and Auburn. A bye this week and just a pair of giants yet to topple with the Tide on 11/15 and the Rebels on 11/29.

Marshall (#25 AP): With the added emphasis of strength of schedule in the selection process for the BCS 4-Team Playoff, Conference USA’s Thundering Herd will be left with their noses pressed against the glass. As far as running the table? A near certainty! Remaining opponents FIU, FAU, Southern Miss, Rice, UAB, and Western Kentucky all all outside of our top-60.

Going to be one hell of a run! To pick up your lines, injuries, match ups, weather and Daily Free Picks please check out

Outright College Underdogs!!

By Totals 4 U

Hello, Sports Fans!

Dynamite weekend coming up in college football marked by our traditional SEC Saturday Super Slate (highlighted by your 2014 SEC Total of the Year for Tennessee @ Georgia on ESPN at 12:00 EST) and great opportunities from sea to shining sea!

Last week we took a look at 5 situations ripe to produce outright underdogs from the campuses with 3 earning the cover including a pair – Utah and Rutgers – taking outright victories!

As you know by now, for 25 years our professional bag has been the Over/Under plays but let’s take a look at which pooches could have some outright bite this Saturday…

– Colorado State +9 1/2 at Boston College, 12:30 EST: A major clash in styles can produce surprising results as 512.7 yards per game of Ram offense meets 272.8 allowed by the Eagle defense.

– Minnesota +13 at Michigan, 3:30 EST: Gopher QB Leidner still ailing but 263.3 yards rushing and strong stoppers (5 forced TOs last week) give them a shot against against a squad that has lost to both quality opponents and gave up 4 TOs last trip.

– Western Kentucky +7 at Navy, 3:30 EST: The Middies wins were over Texas State and Temple while losing their 2 “step-up” games. The Toppers rack 606.7 yards of offense per including 1152 passing against Middle Tenn and Bowling Green. Won by 12 last season.

– Washington +7 vs Stanford, 4:15 EST: The home Huskies are 4-0 so far while the Cardinal’s victories are over Army and UC Davis. Stanford stoppers are always tough but Washington won by 4 in 2012 and lost by 3 last season.

– Southern Mississippi +8 1/2 vs Rice, 7:00 EST: OK, so the Eagles haven’t been consistently Golden since the days of Brett Favre but the Owls are winless for the campaign, shredded for 527.7 yards per contest.

– Duke +7 at Miami-Florida, 7:30 EST: The Devils thumped the ‘Canes by 18 in 2013 and are balanced this year with 6.4 yards per pass and 6.3 per rush. Duke’s yet to be tested while Miami fell to both quality opponents this season against Nebraska and Louisville.

Arf, Arf, ARF! Good luck this week and be sure to pick up your Lines, Matchups, Weather, and Injuries at FREEPLAYS.COM

College Underdogs!!

By Totals 4 U

Hello, Sports Fans!

Last week we gave you a heads up on 3 good situations for upsets in college & pro football, hitting 2 out of 3 with Tex-San Antonio clearly outclassed by Oklahoma State, East Carolina +10 taking the outright at Virginia Tech, and the Chicago Bears +7 rallying to the 8 point win Sunday night in San Francisco.

Of course our professional bag is the Over/Under plays but let’s take a peek at good college pooch situations this Saturday. First a couple a few good spots for underdog covers…

Bowling Green +27 at Wisconsin, 12:00 EST: Huge offensive production racking up 465, 526, and 571 yards keeps the Falcons in late (at least in Vegas).

Florida + 14 at Alabama, 3:30 EST: Bama’s defense gets a real challenge from a squad that’s piled up 101 points and 1187 yards through 2 games. We’re not alone here – line has moves down from 16.

Texas State +13 1/2 at Illinois, 4:00 EST: The Big 10 has big holes and the Illini only topped Western Kentucky by 8 points and Youngstown by 11 while yielding 413.5 yards per game in 2014.

On to the sizzle, baby! Let’s check out a 5-pack of power-pooches that have legitimate shots to shock outright this week…

Utah +3 1/2 at Michigan, 3:30 EST: Thumped Fresno and have posted 115 points and 1115 yards in two blowouts while the Wolverines’ 0-31 handling by The Irish provides a game plan. Down from a 6-point open.

Rutgers +6 1/2 at Navy, 3:30 EST: Each defense has been had but the Knights come off their best performance, giving up just 13 to Penn State. Last two head-to-heads were split by 1 and 2 points.

Middle Tennessee +12 at Memphis, 7:00 EST: The Tigers’ mere 7-point loss at UCLA bloated this number while the Titans have won 3-straight in this yearly series. Certainly a shootout and if MID-TN has the ball last…?

Miami +8 at Nebraska, 8:00 EST: My Big 10 again! Husker offense (7.4 yd/rush, 9.0 yd/pass) vs Cane defense (2.0 yd/rush, 4.3 yd/pass) – and 336 yards allowed to Louisville trumps 784 piled up against Florida Atlantic.

California +8 at Arizona, 10:00 EST: The Wildcat offense has been dynamic but most are against UNLV, Texas-SA (won by 3), and Nevada (won by 7). The season’s best win by this pair goes to the Bears over middling Northwestern.

What a Football Week!!

By Totals 4 U

Hello, sports fans!

A really superior football week kicks off tonight and there are some huge match ups that you need to keep your eye on.

It all begins tonight with a legendary AFC North showdown to launch Week 2 from the NFL in which the Ravens of Baltimore host arch-rival Steelers of Pittsburgh under the national broadcast lights of CBS, kick time 8:25 EST, along with a pair from the campuses – including an important Conference USA West showdown between Louisiana Tech and North Texas.

Friday night we get a primetime ESPN look at Top-10 Baylor as they unleash the Bear Beast on home-hopeful Buffalo.

Saturday, gets real interesting with some great situations! East Carolina @ Virginia Tech on ESPN at 12:00 EST could provide a surprise, while Georgia @ South Carolina on CBS at 3:30 EST is a full-blown SEC showdown.

Under the lights, the Roadrunners of Texas-San Antonio could be dangerous for Oklahoma State as could the Wolfpack for Nevada for Arizona while Tennessee @ Oklahoma on ABC at 8:00 EST and UCLA @ Texas on FOX at 8:00 EST take the main stages!

Sunday gets even better. Cam Newton returns to defend BOA Stadium against the equally 1-0 Lions, Miami and Buffalo each come in with a win to resume their AFC North blood feud at a pick ’em line, while the reeling Patriots need to play 60 minutes this week at the Vikings.

On the afternoon slate, the Bradford-less Rams need to show some life against the Buccaneers or they may done for the season while the Packers need a victory against the Jets and may have to do it without RB Eddie Lacy.

Under the Sunday night lights, San Francisco at home is favored by a touch over the Bears who may be poised to pull off the bounce-back upset and to cap the week ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast should be an absolute beauty with the capable Colts (-3) hosting the high-flying Eagles.

As for your Totals 4 You Team, we are already in mid-season form posting a 12-6 mark (3-1 Big Plays) in the NCAA last week paired with a 7-3-1 tally (3-0-1 Big Plays) from the NFL!
