By Totals 4 U

Hey, Sports Fans!

It sneaks up on many so we’re raising the call…your 2014-2015 College Basketball Season tips off this Friday night!

That’s right! Some 351 campus crews are about to embark on their pursuit of 68 Big Dance tickets culminating in Indianapolis on April 6th and it all begins Friday with 76 opening night contests and there are some pretty good match ups…

The highest profile match up is probably Minnesota vs #8 Louisville, hosted by ESPN from Puerto Rico at 7:00 EST while Georgia @ Georgia Tech and #15 Virginia Commonwealth vs Tennessee from Annapolis should be damn fine starters!

Plenty of opportunities to get your first look at other contenders as the AP’s entire Top-10 get in their first licks Friday including the preseason’s #1 Kentucky Wildcats bravely taking on the mighty Antelopes of Grand Canyon University from Rupp Arena!

Until then check out Tonight’s Free Pick!

Jazz @ Pacers on 11/10

By Totals 4 U

Hello, Sports Fans!

Well into the swing of the National Basketball Association season and, although our professional bag is the Over/Unders, tonight we’ll take out first shot at a side as we take a look at tonight’s Jazz @ Pacers game, tip off 7:05 EST from Conseco…

Utah Jazz (3-4): Not a contender (99.3ppg/103.3pag) here but the Jazz have been a good watch so far, occasionally giving their fans a glimpse of what their new look could accomplish as the season grows.

Coach Quinn Snyder’s front line (42.0rpg/38.7rag) of SF Gordon Hayward (17.9p, 6.0r, 5.1a), PF Derrick Favors (16.3p, 8.4r), and C Enes (11.6p, 6.6r) have certainly played well enough to win while the back court of Burks (14.0p, 3.1a) and Burke (9.7p, 3.9a) have turned the ball over too much leading to 15.9 team T/O per game.

If you get a chance to watch, check out 22-year old Frenchmen 7’1″ 245 Frenchman Rudy “The Stifle Tower” Gobert who’s racking 4.4 boards and 1.3 blocks in 16 minutes per game.

Indiana Pacers (1-6): Short-handed and losers (92.4ppg/95.9 pag) of 6 straight, Frank Vogel’s group does have a couple things to be positive about moving forward.

First, Roy Hibbert (12.6p, 8.3r, 3.7b) looks like he’s a go tonight after missing the final 3 quarters against the Wizards Saturday (knee) PG AJ Price (signed Thursday) has met his career average in his first games back with the squad that originally drafted him.

CJ Miles (migranes) and Rodney Stuckey (foot) are still out but we’ve been impressed how small forwards Chris Copeland (16.7p, 5.9r) and Solomon Hill (12.0p, 5.1r) have thrived in the biggest opportunity for playing time thus far in their careers.

Our Selection: OK. So both teams board, neither team can shoot, and each has trouble handling the ball…sounds like a damn fine way to spend 2 hours! Actually this pair is pretty well matched right now and we’ll play against the road team on a back to back. Take the Pacers – 2 and…
